For nine days in August of 2020 a team of Volunteer Christian Builders worked at Miracle Farm in Brenham, TX building a new staff house from the ground up. "It was a hot two weeks, but it didn't slow us down," said Jerry Rudd, crew chief. While a few of the ladies choose to work along side the men on the construction project several of the other ladies were busy on the ranch as well sewing bags among other goodies to give away to those in need.
Here is what Miracle farm said about our visit:
In order to help us meet the needs of more families and young men, a group of fine folks from Volunteer Christian Builders has been selflessly sacrificing their time and effort to build a new cottage. This group is made up of retired volunteers, many of whom come from construction or consultant backgrounds and enjoy the hands-on work of building a new structure from the ground up. For each phase of the construction, the volunteers have brought their RVs and parked them on the Farm, where they stay when the work has concluded in the evenings. Having these folks here on campus has given us the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships and they’ve even included some of the boys in the construction projects, too!
We are so thankful for all of these friends. Your dedication to this ministry impacts more lives than you’ll ever know and we couldn’t do it without you!
